A blended whisky named for Mr Hankey and Mr Bannister who created the brand. That's right, he was called Mr Hankey…
The nose is quite light, yet rather punchy. There are notes of winter spice and black pepper with a touch of caramel. The palate is quite fresh and crisp with medium-body. There are notes of buttery biscuit and toffee fudge with cereal sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is of good length with a fudge sweetness.
Just like most other cheap blends, you can get it down with plenty of mixer.
At first I was impressed with the name, the bottle and the colour. Bottled in Scotland and 43 percent alcohol. I was excited to find it in North Borneo Malaysia. At first taste I was impressed. Lived up to my expectations. Sweet at first and got more complex the longer in my mouth with a delicious after taste. For me,a winner. So good.
The best blend in its class ever tried. It's stupid to compare scotch, so whoever reads this has its own range of scotchs. Smooth easy air taste for reasonable price. In the outskirts of Kyiv, in the end of the day, started by a stupid Russian shelling.
Bought this in an online shop here in the Philippines. Pretty good for its price Php 949.00 ($17.00) for 1 liter bottle. Very good, sweet, good nose.
I bought a bottle of this at a wine and spirits store in NY state, having never come across it in PA. I was first attracted by the beautiful color of this elixir so I decided to try it. The nose is light at first but grows to a caramel/vanilla aroma. On the palate the alcohol content is high and you feel the burn but then this gives way to a smooth creaminess that was surprising. The finish is medium with flavors of the nose coming through. Pretty good stuff which just goes to prove you don't have to mortgage the house to enjoy a decent scotch.
