Hankey Bannister
A blended whisky named for Mr Hankey and Mr Bannister who created the brand. That's right, he was called Mr Hankey…
The nose is quite light, yet rather punchy. There are notes of winter spice and black pepper with a touch of caramel. The palate is quite fresh and crisp with medium-body. There are notes of buttery biscuit and toffee fudge with cereal sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is of good length with a fudge sweetness.

This is blended and bottled in my home town alongside Pinwhinnie and other fine whiskies. try it you might just be surprised.
My father-in-law just past. In his dresser drawer, we found a bottle of Hankey Bannister, Scotch Whisky a Blend, which he purchased on August 15, 1945, just before he came back to US. Can't wait to try it. 70 year old scotch has to be good.
my friend drank a bottle of this on our ski trip. he enjoyed the taste and it put him into a state of bobble headedness. he contained to moan the ought his blacked out sleep and woke up with the most terrible hangover.
I went to Binny's to buy a bottle of Laphroaig as a gift, and to select something less fine for myself. I had never seen Hankey Bannister nor heard of it, but the funny name intrigued me, so I bought it. It's quite good. My cheap Scotch of choice had usually been Clan MacGregor, but I may stick with Hankey for awhile. Greg, Chicago, Nov, 24, 2013
