    Haig Club Clubman

When we first heard about the initial Haig Club being released with David Beckham we had a discussion at MoM Towers about what the price point would be. When it was eventually announced, however, it was quite a bit higher than the whiskies we'd previously assumed they'd be competing with. That's where Haig Club Clubman comes in, which will be the more "mainstream" variant.

The Clubman, a single grain Scotch whisky distilled at Cameronbridge and matured in ex-bourbon casks, is designed to be enjoyed with cola.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Inoffensive vanilla, nougat and caramel notes. With Beckham behind it, we can see plenty of vodka coke drinkers making the switch to Clubman and not looking back.

    Nice everyday inoffensive drink

This stuff is not the best, what it is for is mixing with cola or ginger ale. I have this as an everyday drink. I have nice whisky i.e. Lagavulin for when I want a real malt. This does what it says on the bottle it gets you merry in a pleasant way. Everyday gulping whisky at it best.

For people who dont drink whisky

Its a very light whisky, bland and not much flavour- tastes like something is missing. Could be good in cocktails or with mixers.

Love the taste with cherry pepsi max

I’m no whiskey connoisseur. I used to drink southern comfort and never drank whiskey before but after seeing a few of the adverts on tv and being on holiday I thought I’d try it. Haig Club Clubman on ice with cherry pepsi max. Give it a try it’s really good! I have also bought the deluxe version which has a slightly different taste in my opinion (notes of butterscotch and toffee)but I like both.

    Great Mixer, not great whiskey

Neat isn’t great, a little ice really brings out the vanilla though, mixed with coke it’s a happy substitute for any long drink hence why I give it 4 star- great mixer

    Avoid

Terrible, rough with a horrible chemical taste. By some way the worst whisky I've ever had. If Happy Shopper have an own brand whisky this is what it would taste like. You're better off with supermarket own brand blended . Half a star for the pretty bottle, nothing for what it contains
