Green Isle
Green Isle is a multi-award-winning smoky blended Scotch whisky featuring a core of Islay malt, alongside Speyside malt and Lowland grain whiskies chosen to complement the aforementioned Islay spirit. An approachable, beautifully balanced blend, boasting smoky depth as well as light fruit and fragrant spice. From the makers of The Character of Islay Whisky Company, this expression takes its name from early descriptions of Islay, as well as from the title of novelist Neil Gunn's book The Green Isle of the Great Deep, which talks of an island off the west coast of Scotland only accessible via a whirlpool. That sound familiar to you...?
Softly toasted barley, warming oak, honey glazed apples and cut grass.
Vanilla pod earthiness builds on the palate, paired with coastal peat, pear drops and crushed peppercorns.
Lingering wafts of dry smoke and buttery biscuits.

Earthy, sweet, floral, rich, deep, layered... my whisky collector mate compared it to Highland Park "the great all-rounder". Haven't spent a better £30 on whisky this year and will happily do so again to support this indie blender.
Very good blended whisky smooth and a good taste for the price a good buy any day cheers
I challenge you to find a more enjoyable Whisky. So easy drinking that you'll be thinking there's a leak in the bottom. Neat or a refreshing highball, it does both. A great introduction to Islay for the peat curious.
Sssssssssssshhhhhh! They'll all want it! So good, I was tempted to keep it quiet! I miss the "old" Black Bottle blend and this has all the beautiful Islay flavour that I remember in B.B. Where it excells is in it's smoothness. Just delicious.
When I first tasted this I was immediately reminded of the old style, and excellent Black Bottle 10 Year Old. A beautiful balance of Speyside and Islay that takes you on a journey across Scotland. You'll be wanting to come back again and again!
