    Blended

    Grant's Triple Wood

As you might expect from the name, Grant's Triple Wood features whisky drawn from three types of cask - specifically refill American oak casks, first-fill ex-bourbon casks and virgin American oak casks. An approachable blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous brand, taking the place of the Family Reserve as its flagship expression.

    A very consistent good blend

I like a blended Scotch with a sharp acrid element. Like a good Assam leaf tea, I like a blended Scotch to have some bite, not be soft and without character. Same with a good pint of bitter, it has to be actually bitter. I'll take this, or W&MK. I do need to find Teachers Highland Cream again, where did it go? Not in my supermarkets these days...

    Smoooth

I've been a single malt snob most of my whisky-drinking life, partly prejudice, partly experience (thank you, JW Red Label and J&B!). But this, which I wouldn't have tried had I not been gifted it, was delightfully smooth and caramel-y, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it or buying it for myself next time

    Good falvour

For a blend, price is often on sale. Drink has an obvious wood flavour that helps bring taste to otherwise " bland" simpletypical blend non age scotch.

    Most Satisfying

I have tried many numerous whiskys over the years and by far Grants Triple Wood has and is the best I have tasted. The price is exceptionally good. Its blend is not course and flavours really make it smooth, satisfying and very comforting to savour.

    Triple wood

I didn't drink grants for 15 years because of the family reserve, I found it disgusting, but this triple wood is very drinkable indeed,a big improvement in taste
