Glenturret 27 Year Old 1988 (cask 11092) Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A superbly fruity Glenturret single malt here, bottled as part of the Old particular range by Douglas Laing. It was distilled back in 1988, left to mature in a refill hogshead for 27 years and bottled in March 2016. This is a release of 264 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

A mixture of red berries, particularly strawberries and raspberries. A slight whiff of old furniture and pastry.

Palate

Plum, prune and more strawberry jam. Slight hints of roasted nuts and crushed mint leaf.

Finish

Stewed plum and a touch of freshly cut grass.
