This whisky comes from the good old Glenturret distillery, who have been making the spirit since the 1700s. While not that old, this independently bottled expression matured for 13 years in refill sherry hogsheads before being bottled as part of the MacPhail's Collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
The cheerful aromas of summer fruits, lively rhubarb and a splash of rum.
Palate
Maraschino cherry and sherry on the palate. Maraschino sherry, perhaps?
Finish
Short, sweet and warm. Ace.
