Glenturret 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 12759) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
An Old Particular bottling of 12 year old Glenturret single malt, aged in a refill sherry hogshead - and from the colour of the whisky, it looks like it might have been a particularly active one! It was distilled in April 2006 and bottled in September 2018 by Douglas Laing, producing only 389 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Treacle tart, blackberries and a subtle savoury hint of old oak.
Palate
Spicy at first with lots of cinnamon and clove, though swiftly becomes sweet with more blackberries and a good whack of chocolate.
Finish
