A 20 year old single malt from Glentauchers, independently bottled by Chorlton Whisky. It was left to mature in a refill bourbon barrel for two decades, before being bottled at 50.9% ABV with an outturn of just 178 bottles. Some sort of idyllic countryside scene is featured on the label - though it does look like small meteors are raining down on the grassy field. Or it could just be rain. One or the other, really.
Apricot and pear, followed by a hint of hay.
Butterscotch, bitter orange, roasted almond and flaky pastry.
Slightly chocolatey, orchard fruit sweetness continues.

Spectacular nose and palate. intense depth of flavour. Simply delicious
