Na Bràithrean
25 Feb 2009
1 Jun 2021

This single malt is part of a twin release from indie bottler Na Bràithrean – who began with a single cask of whisky distilled at Glentauchers in 2009 and divided it into two, thus creating two brothers. This expression is the Wee Brother, and it spent a full 12 years maturing in an ex-bourbon cask until, in June 2021, the cask was opened to release a total outturn of 151 bottles.
Sweet orchard and stone fruits, vanilla and honeysuckle with gentle wafts of toasted oak and baking spice.
Rich, sweet oak, and gently biscuity malt, toasted vanilla with roasted almonds and lemon shortbread.
Caramel and bold barley, with more notes of sweet apricot and cream, a dusting of warming spice and zesty citrus.
