A now discontinued bottle of Glenrothes Select Reserve. This non-vintage single malt was selected by malt master John Ramsay and bottled up at 43% ABV.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Unless there has been genuine quality issues, I just can not understand the few very critical reviews. At less than £35 it is a very good whisky, and when on offers at supermarkets brilliant value. Fully agree with review below.
I can't believe some of the reviews here of this lovely whisky. I broadly agree with MoM tasting notes, i find it excellent value (sometimes slightly cheaper on offers in supermarkets), & better than many more expensive Speysiders. Perhaps MoM should think of editing some of these reviews, as these give a very inaccurate impression. Some idiot actually wants the ABV brought DOWN! Add some water you retard!
I don't think so..rotten wood, very weak and unbalanced, bitter after taste, nothing from speyside, I'm glad I've tried miniature first rather waste my money of whole bottle.
Really expensive for what it offers. No flavors, no smell, feels like it has too much alcohol. A disappointment...
I think the only bad is 43%. 40% would let the taste come out easier. This way, alcohol gives a hint of brandy, for mixed emotions. I got it for free, so can't complain over the price. All this from plain Glenlivet lover.
