The Glenrothes distillery in Speyside filled hogshead #19019 in September 1990 and left it to mature for 26 years (until January 2017). After that, Signatory got their hands on the cask and bottled the delicious whisky within for their Cask Strength Collection. 255 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Richly malt, though fruity notes of fig and apricot are present too.
Palate
Jammie Dodgers and Viennese Whirls, with a touch of honey'd cereal developing on the mid-palate.
Finish
Subtly sharp hints of dried pineapple and mango.
