Douglas Laing
Scotland
Single Malt
A rather well-sherried single malt from the Glenrothes Distillery, which was distilled in September 2005 and left to age in a single sherry butt for 15 years. It would eventually be bottled in December 2020 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular Midnight Series, with only 321 bottles produced. It's got the moon on the label, hanging out, looking at some stars. That's wonderful.
Plum, Christmas pudding, flamed orange peel, and a touch of old oak.
Cinnamon sticks, dried fruit, dark chocolate mousse, a pinch of nutmeg.
Dates, toffee, chocolate once again, red chilli flake.
