Oloroso sherry cask finished single malt from Glenrothes, independently bottled by Darkness. This one matured for a total of 14 years, finishing up in a custom-made octave cask.
Freshly baked pastries, cooked apples, toasted hazelnuts, and plump, honeyed raisins.
Those pastry notes carry through, with layers of buttery shortbread, flaky apple tart, and blanched almonds.
Sweet, biscuity barley, toasted nuts, and Madeira cake.
