A beautifully packaged and now rather collectable 25-year-old from Glenmorangie. Quarter Century offers thick, dark fruits, with those tropical, malty tones. Superb.

Berry compote, crumble, hint of potpourri, almost floral, stewed plums. A mere hint of rancio? Perhaps.
Initially soft. Creamy, fruitcake, tropical fruit.
Long, very slight astringency. Oak, some fruit.
I have never enjoyed a Scotch as exquisite as the 25 year old. Well done guys! Well done.
A wonderful example of the talent in Tain. Complex range of aromas and tastes coupled with a long and evolving finish all combining in smoothness that is sublime. Just a wonderful Highland malt. Terrific!!
Glenmorangie is hands down the best whisky I have tried. The Quarter Century is just another example of getting my socks blown off again from these guys. I have ever expression even the Pride 1974 and I liked the Quarter Century was even better. Don't get me wrong. The Pride 1974 is awesome too. I bought 2 bottles of Pride so I can drink one and save one. That's what I always do. I love you Glenmorangie I drink nothing else now unless I'm at a friends or tasting. I drank my others over the years then a friend introduced me to Glenmorangie and that's pretty much the only thing I drink in my home bar.
I have a bottle which I refuse to open but I ordered a sample and saved it for my birthday last year. I don't recall the nose much but I remember saying it was splendid. On the palate I felt the oak overpowered much of the other flavors; of which there was a cascade, faint as they were. I held it as long as it seemed I could detect a flavor from it and the results were mixed. I'm reluctant to say but having only been one of the three or four whiskies of this age what I remark about most is the smooth character of it. Though other flavors I feel are less pronounced, it was a great pleasure to drink. Having spent much time with the Glanmorangie Tusail just prior to, and after this one, I must say that one won my favor. It's difficult not to get caught up on the hype of drinking something rare and pricey and I was as reverent as I could've been with this one but wasn't really impressed as I expected to have been.
I have had 350 whiskies and I give this the honor of second best I ever had, second only to my personal favorite of Balblair 1983. I give it 99/100
