Glenmorangie
Scotland
A beautifully packaged and now rather collectable 25-year-old from Glenmorangie. Quarter Century offers thick, dark fruits, with those tropical, malty tones. Superb.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Berry compote, crumble, hint of potpourri, almost floral, stewed plums. A mere hint of rancio? Perhaps.
Initially soft. Creamy, fruitcake, tropical fruit.
Long, very slight astringency. Oak, some fruit.
I found this Scotch to be very smooth. Best Scotch I have every sipped. Next time if I hit the lottery I will buy more. Until then, I will sample it just a wee dram at a time.
A few belts does the trick. But here's the rub. It costs too much.
I first experienced this divine nectar upon a fortuitous discovery of a hidden cache at our lodge in the remote and lonely Scottish Highlands. Hidden deep within the darkest reaches of the cellar as a diamond in the rust-red African soil, the honied liquid delighted my senses, making my very soul tremble with delight. This gift from the heavens was created for men to drink with reflection, never with haste.
This to me tastes like a summers day in the middle of winter, its nose is massive.
and the moral is never let the rich play with guns(toys)...irresponsible....unethical...but expected from some one of your personality :)
