Oloroso sherry cask-finished single malt from Glenmorangie. The word 'Lasanta' derives from the Gaelic for warmth and passion.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

I have a penchant for peaty and smoky drams, especially Bowmore and Laphroig, however I thoroughly enjoy Aberlour for its fruity, caramel complexities. This scotch was VERY bland to me. Although the nose was very promising, the palate. under delivered and I was left wanting more. The finish was also very unexceptional. I don't understand how anyone would prefer this two a bottle of Aberlour, but that's my opinion.
If you don't like this there is something wrong with you, I think the Nectar D'or (15) is my favourate of Glenmorangie's 'extra matured' range followed by the Quinta Ruban then the Lasanta but there is really nothing between them, they are all superb and very different. Along with An Cnoc 12 and Glendronach 12, Quinta Ruban and Lasanta are my highest ranked younger (upto 12 year old) whiskies.
Nose and mounth: complex, chocolate, mint, great sherry. Smooth and fresh. Excellent. Its one of my 5 favorities drams.
All whiskies have their character. All children have their character - would you say one is 'better' and 'you'll love it more' ?? Just enjoy them all for what they are.... and while they last.
This really reminds of an old winery the smell and taste of a bad wine it's not worth any penny... The only good one from the portfolio is the original 10YO not bad full mouth feel and you can taste the honey and vanilla very nice dram. But you can find better for the money like highland park 12yo try it and you'll love it
