Glengoyne 15 Year Old
Glengoyne's 15 year old is a Highland single malt made from 100% malted barley and aged in a trio of casks: 20% first-fill bourbon casks, 25% first-fill sherry casks, and 55% refill casks. That balance makes this a sweet, smooth delightful little sipper. There isn't a peep of peat to be found in this Highland single malt Scotch whisky, which uses air-dried barley in its kilning process.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hints of candied lemon and a touch of butterscotch. Creamy cereal sweetness and dried fruits, with Demerara sugar.
Palate
Oily, rich palate entry with notes of toffee popcorn, salted butter and hints of ground walnuts. Allspice and lemon rinds, and baked apple.
Finish
Oaky, malty finish.
