Glenglassaugh 40 Year Old
Introduced to the Glenglassaugh core range in 2013, the 40 year old single malt from the distillery in Portsoy is specially selected by master blender Rachel Barrie and exemplifies the tremendous characteristics of well-aged Highland whisky. Well composed, richly fruity, with wonderful layers of oloroso sherry notes throughout and smartly presented. We've got lots of time for this.
Please Note: This bottle has minor wear to the box.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Ripe banana, pineapple and the first whiff of Oloroso Sherry.
Palate
Thick and syrupy. Oloroso Sherry, crystallised ginger and toffee-dipped raisins. Hints of cocoa and cinnamon.
Finish
Drying and rich with Sherry spice.
Overall
As one of their most well-aged expressions, it earns the right to the fancy teardrop bottle it resides in.
