The second release in Glenfiddich's Experimental Series is their Project XX (pronounced 'twenty') expression, bringing together 20 Glenfiddich experts to create something eclectic and new. To be precise, 20 Glenfiddich brand ambassadors from 16 countries all over the world each picked a cask from the Glenfiddich warehouse. The 20 chosen whiskies were then married, and later recreated by Malt Master Brian Kinsman (partly by recipe - casks types, ages, volumes etc. - but partly through expert assessment of aroma and quality). It's a whisky that would never have come to exist any other way.
This smells like a bit of a beastie, lots of woody spicy notes, toffee and orange peel. Clearly some serious cask action going on here.
Lots of wood: cloves, cinnamon and vanilla with tingly wood tannins, all wrapped up with some sweet fudge notes.
Long and layered, with lingering notes of espresso and dark chocolate.

One of the best whiskeys I have had the pleasure of trying in a long time. Always had glenfiddich since a small lad and pretty much been brought up on whiskey. Think some of the ones that say Soapy need to try it again with a clean palate. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
I don’t know what these soap salesman are drinking? This scotch is absolutely delicious and better in my opinion than many higher priced options in the same line. But thats the beauty of living in a democracy we are all entitled too our opinion.
Agreed with soapy , my expectations were more than this, others like fire& cane was much better and tastier , couldn’t have the joy of drinking a proper whisky
Generic. Vanilla nose, Woody with a slight vanilla and anise up front and a bitter lingering cinnamon finish. Nothing special.
Over 10 years of drinking whiskey and sampled many different ones and this one is my number 1....drank a full bottle in about 3 hours and I slowed down to try and enjoy longer.
