Glenfiddich
Scotland
Single Malt
Let the great experiment... Continue! Glenfiddich has added a new expression to its Experimental Series, unveiling Fire & Cane in mid-2018. Malt master Brian Kinsman has given some of the distillery's peated single malt a three-month finishing period in rum casks - but not just any old rum casks. He's selected rum casks from a variety of South American countries to finish this whisky, which ought to play nicely with the burly peat notes at its core.

I read the reviews calling this whisky "interesting" before I ordered, and I cannot agree more. Definitely worth a punt given the price point
What a beautiful whisky, I don’t think this will last very long at all.
The Glenfiddich Fire & Cane lives up to its name. I bought it as a Father's Day present and even I, with a low threshold for peat smoke, found it quite pleasant. Not too sweet and not too smoky.
I can see that, according to the reviews, you either love or hate this experimental whisky. For me, it was perfect. I do hope that it comes back into stock for I shall not hesitate to restock this one. The sweetness of the rum cask makes it really special. I hope Glenfiddich realise they have a winner here ! [ Maybe those who compared it to mouthwash could tell me where they buy their mouthwash - I'd be delighted if it tasted like this ! ]
Bought for my husband who loves a smokey/peaty taste, and this bottle did not last the week. Apparently it was well worth the money!
