Single Malt
Cumulative Time is an appropriate name for this 40-year-old whisky because it's made using a technique called remnant vatting. It's a process unique to the distillery in which the malt master carries one batch over, time and time again, before marrying it with the casks selected for each subsequent release. This is done to imbue the spirit with the character of past releases and to accumulate layers of flavour over 40 years. The bottle is presented in a handmade jesmonite box with subtle markings on each so they're unique and unable to be replicated.
N: A pre 1929 horse drawn wooden carriage loaded with leather luggage. P: Crisp bacon. That said, the woodiness is central. Sherry dominates with lovely dry dusting. A: Given its age, its short. Pleasant but unremarkable.
