Glenfiddich
Scotland
Single Malt

A 15 year old single malt Scotch from Glenfiddich Distillery, made up of whiskies matured in American bourbon, sherry, and virgin oak. Inspired by the classic sherry-making bodegas of Spain and Portugal, the 15-year-old whiskies are left to mellow and intensify in a solera vat, a large oak vat that hasn't been emptied since 1998.
Sherry, citrus - orange in particular, dry wood. Slight suggestion of smoke?
Medium, Sherry, raisins. Fruitcake, spices, sweetness.
Candied fruits, raisins, spices, Christmas pudding, oak takes over.

Got this in a Glenfiddich tasting box - its OK, I’ve had more interesting whiskeys at this price point but it was enjoyable enough. Wont be buying a full bottle.
A very good scotch, one of the best "big sellers" IMHO
One of my top 3 favs out of the 25 single malts I've tried, mabey bunnahabain 12 and oban 14 join that list with it. It edges the Glenlivet 15 but also a banger. Lots of snobs on here, whiskey is all taste preference. You're preference doesn't rule the day or decide what others like.
Just divine
This is a middle of the road commercial bottling, a capable and enjoyable casual drink without memorable characteristics. For the reviewer below who thinks experienced whisky drinkers won’t be able to pick this out in a blind tasting is kidding himself. No one is comparing Glenfiddich 15 to some over-priced “rare and old” bottles which are in most cases marketing gimmicks anyway. However when compared to many of the “mid entry-level”sherried whiskies of similar price from other distilleries, this is at best right down in the middle.
