Winner of 1 awardGlenfarclas
A much adored expression here - 40 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the legendary Glenfarclas, offering up generous helpings of Sherried notes that the distillery are famous for. Bottled at 43% ABV, and presented alongside a handsome box reminiscent of the iconic doors of Glenfarclas' warehouse.

Stunning presentation. Haven't opened it yet but was lucky enough to have a wee dram of a friend's bottle. huge depth. I am no expert but Christmas cake tells the story for me. And not supermarket Xmas cake. Xmas cake your grandmother used to make with liberal booze. Lovely. If I don't give it to my kids, I will open it at a special occasion (yet to be determined.)
Bought for my collection, beautifully presented, well priced. Not brave enough to open yet maybe on day.
On New Years Day sampled this 40 yr old 2 different hits , the 1st a mouth sparking texture , the next several seconds later a smooth vanilla honey aftertaste , A Stunner if a malt
