    Age10 Year Old Whisky

    Glenfarclas 10 Year Old

From the renowned Glenfarclas Distillery, this delicate whisky is a wonderful expression of the Speyside style. Matured in 100% Oloroso sherry casks, it offers far more complexity than you’d expect from a 10-year-old dram. A smooth, welcoming whisky that’s become the understated favourite in many a collection. Excellent as an aperitif, and excellent value.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Lots of juicy, sweet, sherry notes combined with malt and barley. Creamy hints of toffee give way to delicate honey, vanilla, and orchard fruits.

    Palate

Delicious sherry sweetness and dried fruits, with complex, delicate winter spices and fruitcake. Light toffee, and a hint of smoke.

    Finish

Long, smooth, spicy and fruity, with a touch of oak.

    Value!

Prefer the 15 year old, but at this price then this is a steal.

    A not so memorial Speyside

Drinking neat: Fruitcake, floral, honey, spicy, cologne, sugar sweet, oak. Pretty tasty and light, buy there's nothing there that makes me want more. I bought this as a sampler. I'm content with this and don't see myself buying an entire bottle. If someone offered me a dram, I definitely wouldn't decline.

    Very easy to enjoy

I'm in the last third of my bottle of this. It is an excellent whisky for the price. The tasting notes from the Master of Malt chaps is spot on. The sherry, honey and creamy malt are lovely to the nose. In fact this is simple a fascinating drink to sit and smell. The fruitcake last is lovely and is very mouthwatering. I'd pick this up again happily.

Reminiscent to me of Penderyn Myth. A taste to be acquired. Not like any other scottish malt I have tasted. Will rate once I finish the bottle, which should not take long!
