A youthful though decadent single malt from Glendullan, independently bottled for the Darkness! selection. These whiskies are given a finishing period in tiny, specially-coopered sherry casks, leading to flavour profiles that boast big ol' sherried notes throughout. This 8 year old Glendullan was finished in a little Oloroso sherry cask, and the richness of the sherry really shines. Just 97 bottles were made.
Pinot Noir, plenty of nutty oloroso elements and stewed plums first, followed by tannic wood, leather and blueberries.
Dark fruit compote, golden syrup and burnt malt, with prickles of cinnamon throughout.
A little bittersweet dark chocolate and more plummy goodness.
