Pralines and Muscovado sugar. Hints of manuka honey, heather smoke and dried fruit. Peppery.
Cocoa, Seville orange marmalade, spice and heather honey. Huge apple notes and hints of black black pepper.
Peppery, fruity finish. Apple peel on the tail.
The Glendronach 1994 18 year old Batch 7 is perhaps one of my favourite whiskies. Its the best of xmas. It does everything an aged Sherried Macallan does and does it dare I say, better! This has layers of brown sugar & spices, black pepper, cloves, orange peel,burnt toffee. Pour.Take a small sip. The strength and intense flavours hold together like nothing else. The liquid gold has a dry grittiness..you have to punch with your tongue to extract the juicy flavours. Now add 2 drops of mineral water - this whisky opens right up. Wow. A piece of whisky history.
