Glencadam 34 Year Old 1977 - Old & Rare (Douglas Laing)
This was distilled in April 1977 at the Glencadam distillery. It was aged for 34 years in a single sherry butt before bottling in January 2012 at natural cask strength for Douglas Laing's Old and Rare Platinum Selection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sherry, kirsch, cranberries and raisins. Calves leather, dessert wine and exotic spices.
Palate
Slightly rubbery and quite gripping with tangy, rich sherry oak, a little cocoa and prune. Hints of under-ripe plums, figs and banana loaf.
Finish
Medium-length with notes of pepper and caramel.
