Bourbon
From the Cask Strength Collection by Signatory comes a vintage 1995 Glenburgie single malt. It was matured for 28 years in a bourbon hogshead and then bottled without chill-filtration or additional colouring.
Creamy and floral with vanilla, caramel, dried orange, lavender, and baking spice.
Rich honey and vanilla, juicy apricots, ginger, and sultanas.
Drying and long.
Still a delicious bourbon barrel that I will never forget.The delicious whisky we are currently tasting has been produced by this distillery in the 90s.
Fine, and very nice. Lots of barley and pears. For me, though, it doesn’t taste so different to 21 year olds from the same kind of producers (Glen Elgin, Glen Keith, etc.), so I’m not personally sure I’d have paid the extra in retrospect, but it’s still good whisky.
