James Eadie typically has unerringly good selections of whisky and this single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Ord distillery demonstrates that fact. It was matured in a single first-fill oloroso sherry butt for nine years before 575 bottles were drawn and presented at 57.3% ABV.
Classic Christmas cake aromas are joined by a rich nutty element, and some musty dunnage notes.
Squished raisins, walnuts, ginger snaps, and toffee apples.
Baking spice and dried fruit remain.
