A 22 year old single malt from those wonderful Glen Keith folks, independently bottled by Signatory! This one spent its maturation in a single hogshead cask, which was filled in May 1997 and cracked open in March 2020. Following that, it was bottled for the Cask Strength Collection (at cask strength, obviously) with an outturn of 299 bottles.
Sawdust, chestnut and softly toasty malt, swiftly followed by a rush of mango and melon. Crème caramel pops up too.
Buttery on the palate, with waves of vanilla, sponge cake and coffee ice cream. A leafy hint of basil appears later on.
Peppermint, grassy barley, toffee and banana.
