One of 268 bottles from a brandy-finished butt, distilled at Glen Grant in April in 1975 and matured for 36 years before bottling in 2011 for Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range.
Nose: Malty and spiced with notes of aniseed, soft spices and rosewater. Cranberries and sherried peels, a little sultana.
Palate: Dried fruit, bitter oak, toffee brittle, dried barley, manuka honey and plum wine.
Finish: Long and musty, bitter charred oak and damson gin.
