Glen Grant 30 Year Old (cask 15427) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A single cask bottling of exceptional 30 year old single malt from the Glen Grant Distillery, independently bottled up by those fab Douglas Laing folks. This one was distilled back in 1991 and left to age in a refill hogshead for three decades, before the cask was cracked open and bottled up at cask strength as part of the Xtra Old Particular series. This smashing range is reserved for rather rare, exciting whiskies, so we're sure you can see why a 30 year old Glen Grant would be featured here. Just 254 bottles were produced.

    Tasting Note by The Producer

The nose is very fresh and fruity with blackcurrant jam, blueberries, and freshly cut wet grass. The palate has a distinct pear drop quality alongside lime juice then catch the delicious crème caramel style. The finish is long with more fruit, toasted barley, sugar coated butter, and a hint of chocolate orange.
