From Speyside's Glen Grant Distillery comes this 25 year old single malt, independently released by indie bottler Signatory. This expression was distilled on 31st May 1995 and filled into a pair of bourbon barrels, where it remained until 22nd April 2021, when a total of 385 bottles were produced for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection, at a natural strength of precisely 50% ABV.
Syrupy sponge cake, creamy vanilla with wafts of soft stone fruits, followed by a whiff of wood oil.
Zesty citrus, grilled peach, juicy pear, sweet, toasted oak with creamy butterscotch are followed by spiced apple and mixed nuts.
More cooked fruit with baked apple and grilled pineapple smothered in burnt sugar. A touch of vegetal oak and pepper linger amongst rich baking spices.
