A great beginner's whisky right here from the Glen Grant Distillery, produced in tall pot stills. This 10 year old Speyside single malt, having spent a decade in bourbon casks, boasts oodles of light, malty notes. A top dram for warmer weather.
Medium. Vanilla, toffee apple. Herbal, hint of smoke.
Firm. Sweetness, fruity, vanilla. Gentle peat, malty.
Dry, supple peat, toffee.

in recent years i have tasted most of the top brand scotch whisky. from islay to the lowlands, and my favorite always is glen grant 10 and 16 year.the reason, not a bombastic smokey peat bomb from islay,to me they smell like black magic markers and licking a campfire yuk.this is a silky smooth delicate taste, almost like glengoyne another favorite.if you like a very polite easy going dram this is it.glen grant is one of the best big distilleries on the planet rated second in world production of scotch and it taste it.
One of my favorites - excellent to start off the evening, as it is so vey light & fruity, with a delicate nutty finish. Simply delicious! (Not for the smokey/peaty crowd...)
A beautiful, light coloured speyside malt at a low price.A best seller in Scotland and Italy and a great introduction to malt whisky, not too peaty or salty ,with a lovely mixed plate of vanila and apples.Superb.
