A great beginner's whisky right here from the Glen Grant Distillery, produced in tall pot stills. This 10 year old Speyside single malt, having spent a decade in bourbon casks, boasts oodles of light, malty notes. A top dram for warmer weather.
Medium. Vanilla, toffee apple. Herbal, hint of smoke.
Firm. Sweetness, fruity, vanilla. Gentle peat, malty.
Dry, supple peat, toffee.

I cannot understand an exitement about this whisky. This is obviously gòodcrafted drinkable malt. The one you may order in a bar or share with your friends. However I found nothing special or complex or unique about this dram. Just good basic speyside malt
One of the best single malt. 5 star rating. Well balance and smooth.
Beautiful single malt! Why are you calling it a beginner's ???
I love it very much as I am whiskey beginner drinker. It owns four elements of wine drinking. I loved the balance.
the only time I tasted GlenGrant was when I was given a 5 cl bottle when I bought a bottle of another distillery. Was not great at the time. This however thanks to a special offer in Holland of about €27,00 for a LITER is a very good value for money with a lot of citrus, banana and barley in the nose, and the taste of nuts and fresh brewed tea.Good and complex aftertaste.Just needs a few drops of water to open up.Seems to me like a good malt for people who are starting savouring malt whisky as a hobby.
