Single malt Scotch whisky from the cracking Glen Garioch distillery in the Highlands, aged in a refill hogshead for quarter of a century. It was distilled in April 1991 and bottled 25 years later in August 2016 by Hunter Laing for their Old Malt Cask range. A release of 121 bottles.
Old oak furniture, with a little bit of vegetal spice alongside it. Vanilla-y malt.
Milky coffee, dried raspberries and strawberries, some citrus peels later on.
Hazelnut and cardamom, which develops a full-bodied spiciness.
