This vintage bottling of Glen Garioch is from the final year that the distillery peated its whisky before its temporary closure. When the distillery reopened it stopped peating its whisky and hence the style is different from what came before.
Mocha and muscavado to begin with, leading to menthol peat notes, dried banana and toffee.
The palate boasts chocolatey mocha notes with golden syrup drizzled on top; with a buttery mouth-feel.
The finish is sweet with syrup pudding and a burst of minty peat smoke.
This is a well constructed malt with lots of toffee and chocolate flavours, off-set with delicious peat notes.

The best I have tasted!
This is one of the best malts I have tasted. It is very moreish. Terry's Chocolate Orange, and nutella covered bananas on the nose. Coconut and chocolate Bounty Bars on the palate with a long and mouth watering finish.
