This is the Chapter Three, the third release in The Renaissance series from Glen Garioch! The 17 Year Old Highlander was matured in a combo of sherry and bourbon casks, before the single malt was at 50.8% ABV. It's a brilliantly chocolatey and citrusy affair, and we very much look forward to what the next chapter will bring...
Sweet malt and orange peel, with freshly baked bread slathered in honey, supported by ginger biscuits.
A whole host of citrus, though bitter orange marmalade dominates, with lots of milk orange chocolate and a crack of black pepper keeps things lively.
Toasted brown sugar (if slightly burnt) with chocolate-covered ginger, and white pepper spice.
