Glen Elgin 23 Year Old 1995 (cask 3272) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)

Single malt Scotch whisky from the Glen Elgin Distillery, aged in a single hogshead for 23 years - from May 1995 to May 2019. Following that slumber, this whisky was independently bottled by the ever-brilliant Signatory. Released as part of the Cask Strength Collection (at cask strength, obviously), there were 293 bottles produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Mars Bars and grassy malt, with old oak furniture in the background.

Palate

Vanilla ice-cream with crushed nuts and chocolate shavings, the sweetness balanced by Sesame Snaps, white pepper and barley.

Finish

A fruity hint of green pear skin on the finish.
