Glen Elgin 23 Year Old 1995 (cask 3269) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)
A Cask Strength Collection bottling of single malt from the Glen Elgin Distillery, matured in a single hogshead for 23 years - from the heady days of December 1995 until February 2019. After its long rest, it was bottled by Signatory at 50.4% ABV with an outturn of only 204 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Freshly baked banana bread, runny honey, a bright whiff of papaya fruitiness.
Palate
Crunchy brown sugar, oily oak, Brazil nuts and peppery barley.
Finish
Slightly grassy, with a hint of green apple sharpness.
