This sherried Speysider was distilled at Glen Elgin in 2006, and filled into a single refill sherry cask. It rested in said cask for over a decade, until is was bottled by Adelphi at 14 years old, with an outturn of 290 bottles at cask strength, a generous 52.7% ABV.
Orange chocolate, with toasted baking spices and sherried dried fruit.
Boozy tiramisu, with cinnamon-spiced chocolate and and orange oil.
Hints of chocolate brioche linger.
