An indie bottling of Fettercairn, joining the excellent Douglas Laing Provenance range. This was aged for 8 years in a refill hogshead, from May 2008 to May 2016, before being bottled at 46% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Grist and Riesen chocolate caramel sweeties. Slight hints of dried apricot and raisin.
Palate
More dried fruits as it opens, with a little fragrant orange behind it. Touches of oak.
Finish
Quite long, still showing off sweet orange notes.
