A fantastic Fettercairn, independently bottled by the folks from Signatory. This one was matured in a single hogshead for 28 years, from December 1988 to October 2017, before being bottled for the Cask Strength Collection. Just 203 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Barley up front, swiftly backed up by rich oak and a few hints of liquorice root.
Palate
Nutty at first with walnut and pecan, though soon enough the mature oak notes from the nose return.
Finish
Golden syrup, macadamia nut and a touch of citrus.
