    Product details

    Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond

A classic in every sense of the word, this Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from Evan Williams is a favourite of back bars around the world. In accordance with Bottled-in-Bond regs, this is at least four years old, from a single season, and bottled at a higher ABV than the regular Evan Williams. Punching way above its price class, this is a favourite of ours, displaying immaculate balance with sweetness, black pepper and cinnamon spice.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

“I too sampled this in louieville at the Evan Williams experience. It's fantastic, just like the other review it's like woodfords without the oak. True water does open it up but I still sometimes drink it straight no ice. Bottled in Bond is the way to go! Heaven hill is a few up from this but can't see it in the UK. If you got the budget the Evan Williams 12yr is probably the best bourbon I've ever had and worth while buying. ”

Robust and subtle - revisited. 5* bourbon.

A year ago I gave it 4/5 over here. Revisiting now after having tasted few more expensive bourbons, I must give it 5 of 5. This is absolutely one of the finest BiBs out there. It's on a sweeter side just like Wild Turkey in a contrast to more drier, say Buffalo Trace offerings. Wow it is a fantastic sipper, pleasant bite and withstands added water just fine.

    Best bourbon bargain?

This is like the American sports car of bourbon. Not all the bells and whistles of exotic rides but good grief, performance at a fraction of the cost! Don’t need to make any excuses for this one, it stands on its own. Big corn-toffee punch with hints of citrus. Not super complex but enough to make you scratch your head on the pricing. Adding water brings out different notes which is always a good sign. Punching way above it’s weight class.

    Cracking

People spend a lot of money on more expensive bourbons and miss out on the good stuff.

    Nice things to say

Bang for your buck, ooh yeah. Smooth, quite tasty and of course . ..50% alcohol . Worth every penny

Robust but can be subtle as well.

I like it. I have to tune it down to around 40% abv which brings some buttery, creamy notes to the front. At this abv, the finish is quite spicy, nice and medium. Simple yet sturdy, makes me think of how simple are the ingredients yet their way to the bottle is much more complex. Good flagship of the brand I think.
