Elijah Craig has long been a favourite bourbon of many whiskey enthusiasts - to the point where their stocks of 12 year old bourbon have been under a lot of pressure. The producers made the decision to discontinue the 12 Year Old expression and create this expression to take its place. It manages to maintain the incredibly high quality that Elijah Craig is known for, including the delicious core of cooked apple drizzled in honey notes. This expression has been well received, taking home not one but two San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold medals!
Honeycomb, fresh cedar, marmalade and some spicy cardamom seed.
Baked apples with a dusting of cinnamon, followed by fresh honey and cookie dough.
Lingering nutmeg and charred oak.
I normally drink Scotch whisky but thought I’d try an American Bourbon whiskey after being introduced to a couple on my trip to New York this year. I tried the Michter’s and Jefferson’s which were both very good but this bourbon is exceptional. I bought it after reading a few reviews of others saying their favourite was Elijah Craig and It’s opened my taste buds to discover more bourbons. Great value for money, it’s going straight in my basket again.
Extremely smooth, with fantastic flavours of vanilla, honey & winter spices. Perfect to drink neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail - Old Fashioned being my favourite. Great value for an original bourbon.
Delicious Bourbon perfect for sipping or an Old Fashioned. Excellent value too
Exceptional quality bourbon and value for money.
I just tried Elijah Craig for the first time, and I’m impressed! It’s surprisingly smooth to sip neat, even at 47% ABV, which I really enjoyed. This bourbon offers fantastic flavours of caramel and vanilla for a great price, and I would definitely recommend to Bourbon lovers!
