Single Malt
Distilled at Edradour in November 2012, this single malt spent the next decade maturing in a single cask. That cask was cracked open in February 2023 and the whisky was independently bottled by Signatory, without added colour or chill filtration to join its Un-Chilfiltered Collection.
Spiced sultanas and figs, cinnamon sticks, charred oak, and cooked plums
Cinnamon snaps and buttered malt loaf are joined by dark toffee and chocolate chips.
Woody spices linger, with roasted nuts, a touch of treacle, ginger, and liquorice.
Almost mahogany brown like a Kent Ale. Fully cloudy when held to the light in cold temps from the real non-CF. Creamy mouthfeel. Sweet, rounded and slightly nutty tang with a long, good finish. Perfect for an autumn fireside dram. Hard to come by, but definitely worth seeking out.
We have visited this distillery in Scotland and I love their whiskey, it’s the only one I enjoy.
This is a very drinkable malt. I love it. Bought a second bottle even though I am only half way through the first. It will not last long. It is so much better than the standard 10 yr old which I also like. Highly recommended.
