This 10-year-old single malt from Edradour joins Signatory's Un-Chillfiltered Collection. The Highland whisky was distilled in June 2012 and matured in a single cask, with plenty of sherry influence. It was bottled in January 2023, without chill filtration, of course.
Warm, woody spices, with dried figs and raisins.
Dark caramel, ginger biscuits, malt loaf, and some dark chocolate.
The warm spices stick around, along with some liquorice.

Fantastic, old-fashioned dram fantastically presented and well. What a good price
I've tried a few of these single cask expressions of Edradour by now, and they are consistently excellent. Although the price may seem a bit steep for a mere 10-year age statement, the sheer depth and "Christmas in a bottle" richness of oloroso cask influence is everything you could hope for in a much older, more expensive whisky (I've stopped buying Glendronach Allardice since discovering this). And the additional layer of "Edradour funk" only enhances the experience all the more. One of my favourite whiskies regardless of age statement or price. And one I will continue re-buying whenever it runs out for as long as it is around.
