Distilled in 2012, this single malt from Edradour spent the next decade resting in a single cask. In 2022, independent bottler Signatory opened the cask, bottling the whisky up without added colour or chill filtration for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection.
Woody notes of cinnamon and ginger, with stewed stone fruits and oaken vanilla.
Caramelised biscuits, malt loaf, honeyed dates, and candied nuts. Baking spices join along the way, joined by a dash of cacao.
Warming spices and nutty malt linger, with a touch of treacle in tow.
Decent enough if you like sherried whiskies. A little one-dimensional in my opinion. "Integrity" bottling though which counts for a lot.
A wonderful dram. Smooth sweet and sherried. Bought a bottle last week and am buying a further 2 before they all go.
