A 12 year old single malt from the Edradour distillery, released under their Ballechin name - meaning you can expect a hearty helping of peat within this one! It was matured in a Bordeaux wine cask from December 2005 to January 2018, before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 392 bottles.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Peanut shells, strawberries, petrichor and chocolate digestives.
A balanced flavour profile of roasted peat smoke and sweet stewed berries.
The smoke eventually triumphs and dominates the finish.
